Frequently Asked Questions
If you have a question that’s not covered below or have a specific situation you’d like to chat about, please schedule a one-on-one call with our team. Write to us at hello@corehort.co
What is group coaching exactly?
Group coaching brings a small group of peers together to work through real challenges in a structured, facilitated way. Each session is guided by a trained facilitator and uses proven leadership frameworks — but the real power is in the shared perspectives, honest feedback, and collective learning that happens in the group.
How is this different from training or therapy?
It’s not training — you won’t sit and passively listen to slides or lectures. It’s not therapy — we’re not exploring personal trauma or mental health. Group coaching is about reflecting on real leadership challenges, learning from peers, and making practical, intentional changes in how you lead.
Who is this for?
Corehort is designed for people navigating change or growth in their leadership journey:
First-time or newly promoted managers
Nonprofit & social enterprise leaders
Individuals at a career crossroads who want to lead with more clarity and purpose
How big is each group?
We keep it small and personal — typically 8–12 people. That way everyone has space to speak, listen, and build meaningful trust over time.
How often do we meet?
Groups meet every two weeks. Each session is about 90–120 minutes, depending on the group's needs and design.
What happens in a typical session?
You’ll bring real issues to the table. We use a structured process to help everyone reflect, offer perspective, ask questions, and share feedback. A trained facilitator ensures the space stays respectful, focused, and productive.
Who facilitates these sessions?
Navin Murugamoorthy, Corehort’s founder, is an experienced leadership coach and facilitator who has worked with hundreds of leaders across Southeast Asia, India, and East Africa. He’s guided groups in global corporations, startups, and nonprofits.
Is this confidential?
Yes. Every participant commits to confidentiality. What’s shared in the group stays in the group. This trust is essential to the experience.
Do I have to share personal challenges?
No one is forced to share anything they’re not ready to. That said, the more honest you can be about your leadership challenges, the more valuable the experience becomes. Our facilitator helps create a safe, respectful space so you can choose what and when to share.
What if I'm shy or introverted?
That’s completely okay — group coaching isn’t about dominating the conversation. You’ll have time to reflect, listen, and speak at your own pace. Many introverted participants say the structured format and supportive peers make them feel more comfortable sharing.
What industries do people come from?
We’ve had participants from tech, finance, social enterprise, nonprofits, consulting, healthcare, and more. The common thread is they’re all navigating leadership challenges and want to grow with intention.
Can I do this with my own team?
Yes. We can run private cohorts for intact teams or groups within an organization. This can be especially effective for building trust, alignment, and shared leadership skills.
Is it virtual or in-person?
Most cohorts are fully virtual to make it accessible and consistent for busy professionals. We can also design in-person sessions for organizations if needed.
Do you offer 1:1 coaching?
Our primary focus is group coaching because of the unique peer-learning value. However, if you want to explore 1:1 coaching alongside your group sessions, let us know — we’re happy to discuss options.
What leadership frameworks do you use?
We draw from evidence-based leadership models, coaching tools, and peer consulting protocols. But it’s never about rigid theory — we focus on frameworks that help you reflect, act, and grow in the real world.
What makes Corehort different?
We’re not a course with slides or generic content. We don’t tell you what to do. We offer structured space to think deeply, share openly, and learn from people who get it. Facilitated by an experienced coach who keeps it practical, human, and honest.
How much does it cost?
We offer different pricing depending on the program length and whether it's a private cohort or something customized for your team. Get in touch and we’ll share the details that best fit your needs.
